Noibu is pleased to announce two exciting updates to our user interface that will help you forecast the cause of missing video content and zero-in on issues with specific properties: Missing Video Iconography and New Filtering Options.
Missing Video Iconography
To date, the Session Timeline has identified videos by one of two statuses: Available, as denoted by a clickable play button; or Unavailable, as denoted by a circle with a strikethrough. The Unavailable status gives little insight into why a video is missing, so we’ve expanded our iconography to include multiple statuses for missing videos. These insights come through a combination of new icons and descriptive hover text.
Status | Iconography |
---|---|
Video is corrupt/unplayable | |
Video was recorded, or should have been recorded, but is missing | |
Video has been pruned from the timeline. Videos expire after 90 days, unless they're pinned. | |
No video expected |
We hope this expanded menu of statuses will help you determine whether videos are missing due to an issue that Noibu can resolve. Sometimes, videos are missing for expected reasons. However, if you notice a number of videos missing due to corruption or faulty recording, contact your Noibu CSM to investigate the problem.
New Filtering Options
We’ve added the ability to filter the Funnel and All Issues tables by two new options: Error Type and Error Source.
Through the Error Type filter, you can search the list for JavaScript or HTTP errors.
Through the Error Source filter, you can search the list for errors with a specific origin. Visit our Guide to Error Sources to learn more.
Please note that these are not new data points. Noibu has always tracked each error’s type and source, and we hope that allowing you to filter tables by these data points will expedite your triaging process by allowing you to hunt for errors with specific properties.
