Overview of Performance Detail page
Clicking into any of the three Core Web Vital cards (Loading Speed, Interactivity, and Visual Stability) at the top of the Web Performance Dashboard brings you to a page that expands on that specific metric in more detail.
The detail page for each Core Web Vital begins with a summary of that metric across the entire website, based on real customer traffic to your website. You can see whether this score is classified as “Good”, “Needs Improvement”, or “Poor”, and the associated measurement leading to that score. Learn more about Core Web Vital scores.
Similar to the top-level performance dashboard, the data on the page can be filtered to specific time ranges, device types, and page groupings to understand how each specific Core Web Vital score may differ across devices and specific page collections.
Note: The Page Group data filter must be configured by Noibu. Contact your CSM to learn more.
Performance Over Time chart
The chart below the summary provides a visual representation of trends in the relevant core web vital over the time period selected. This chart plots overall loading speed (LCP) over time, interactivity (INP) over time, or visual stability (CLS) over time.
The solid black line on this chart indicates your Core Web Vital measurement over the time period chosen (e.g. over the past 7 days). The dotted grey line indicates the measurement over the prior measurement period. Hovering over a point in the chart displays a tooltip with the measurement at a specific date, as well as the prior period’s measurement. Comparing these two lines allows you to understand how performance has changed over time.
The red line on this chart indicates the threshold above which the Core Web Vital would be considered “Poor”. The green line on this chart indicates the threshold below which the Core Web Vital would be considered “Good”. Core Web Vitals that measure between the red and green lines are considered “Needs Improvement”.
The “Share” button at the top-right of this chart allows you to copy a link to this page with current filters applied, or copy the chart to your clipboard as a PNG.
Pages with poor performance
Similar to the performance dashboard, the performance detail pages show the top pages on your website with a “Poor” rating for loading speed (LCP), interactivity (INP), or visual stability (CLS). You can toggle this chart to show High Traffic (the highest-traffic pages with a “poor” score) or Performance Drop (pages where the web vital score has deteriorated to a "poor" score).
Each row in this table shows the relevant page title and URL, traffic for that page for the specified time range, and a visual indicator of each web vital’s score (“Good”, “Needs Improvement”, or “Poor”). Hovering over any indicator will display a tooltip with specific information about web vital scores.
Evaluating the cause of performance issues
For certain core web vitals (INP), Noibu is also able to provide more detailed information about which interactions and elements may be causing performance issues on your website.
Slowest Interactions by Occurrences
Interaction to next paint (INP) is a core web vital that measures your website’s overall responsiveness to user interactions. On the Interactivity (INP) performance detail page, the Slowest Interactions by Occurrences table provides details into which specific elements and interactions contribute most to your website’s INP metric.
The top row in this table highlights the single-most important interaction that impacts interactivity for the date range, device type, and page group selected at the top of the dashboard.
For every item in the table, you’ll also see which interaction is slow, the page it most frequently occurs on, the frequency of interactions with this element, and its response time measured in seconds (s) or milliseconds (ms).
Investigating individual elements
Clicking the ‘View details’ button on the first row, or any of the subsequent rows in the table, will pop out more details about the element and how it impacts INP.
Within this panel you’ll see measurements of interaction speed, details about the type of interactions that occur, and a full outline of the element selector, which may be helpful for technical teams in diagnosing the issue. Hovering over a row will provide a definition of each measurement.
You’ll also see Session Highlights that provide you with direct evidence of how this element impacted users on your website. The marker on the timeline scrubber indicates where in the session recording the slow interaction occurred.
Actioning interactivity (INP) performance problems
When you discover a performance issue that appears to be impacting customers – that is, cases where there appears to be a significant delay between a customer’s interaction and the your site’s reaction – you may wish to escalate it to technical teams for further diagnosis.
Click the ‘Share’ button to copy a link that can be shared with other users in your account. This link points directly to the same panel detailing the individual element to be investigated.
Investigating other sessions
In some cases, you may want to find additional examples of session recordings where a user is impacted by performance problems. This can be accomplished by browsing Sessions, filtered to the relevant Core Web Vital. Learn more about filtering sessions.
