Friction factor is a metric Noibu uses to measure how much difficulty a user is experiencing while browsing an ecommerce site. The higher the score is, the more friction was caused for the user while they were browsing the site.
Ultimately, the primary use case of the friction factor feature is to pull up sessions where the user is experiencing friction so you can address what’s causing the problems.
Friction factor is based on symptoms. We compute friction factor for a given symptom as the friction factor for a symptom times the number of times it occurs in that session.
Here 's' denotes each symptom present in that session.
Ultimately, this feature can help in the error prioritization process as you are able to see which errors are causing the most friction and can fix those first.
