Creating a Noibu Webhook for Jira

Introduction

In order for our Jira interface to integrate properly with Noibu you will need configuration of a Noibu  webhook. This article provides a concise video with step by step instructions for creation of a Noibu webhook.

Solution

The video which this solution is based on can be found at the link below:

Step 1

The first thing you want to do is to log into your Jira account. Note: you must have admin access to have the permission to create this webhook.

Step 2

Once you are in Jira you want to navigate to enter settings and find 'System Settings'. Within system settings look for a tab that displays 'System'.

Step 3

Once you are in the System section of Jira you want to find a section which is called 'Webhooks'. At present day it is located on the left sidebar in the Jira console.

Step 4

At this point you can see previously created webhooks. You are going to want to click on `+ Create Webhook`.

Step 5

The final step is to enter in the relevant information:

  • Name: "Noibu Webhook"
  • Status: Enabled
  • Description: "This webhook is for Noibu to recieve updates from Jira"
  • Issue Related Events - Check the following 3 Boxes: "created", "updated", and "deleted"

Once you have those 4 input areas complete you can scroll down and hit the 'create' button.

Congratulations if you have completed this guide you have successfully created your first Noibu Webhook! 🎉🎉🎉
