Connecting Noibu to OpenAI ChatGPT

Last updated: October 22, 2026

The Noibu plugin connects ChatGPT to your Noibu account and includes skills for analyzing store performance, checkout, products, traffic segments, technical issues, accessibility, and A/B testing opportunities.

A workspace administrator uploads the plugin once. Team members then install it and connect their own Noibu accounts—there is no separate skills package to install.

Before you begin

You’ll need:

  • A ChatGPT workspace that supports custom plugins.

  • An administrator with permission to upload plugins containing custom MCP connections.

  • The latest Noibu plugin ZIP, supplied by Noibu.

  • A Noibu account for each team member, with access to the stores they want to analyze.

Part 1: Administrator setup

1. Open workspace plugin settings

  1. Sign in to ChatGPT and switch to your organization’s workspace.

  2. Open the workspace menu and select Workspace settings.

  3. In the Admin Console, open Plugins.

Make sure you are managing the intended workspace, not your personal account.

2. Upload the Noibu plugin

  1. Select Add, then Upload plugin.

  2. Choose the Noibu plugin ZIP.

  3. Upload the ZIP without extracting or modifying it.

  4. Select Add plugin and wait for processing to finish.

  5. Open the resulting Noibu plugin.

Use Upload plugin for the complete package. Team members do not need to upload individual skills or manually create another Noibu MCP connection.

3. Review the included connection and skills

Confirm that the plugin contains:

  • One Noibu MCP connection.

  • All 10 Noibu skills.

The connection settings packaged with Noibu are:

  • Server URL: https://mcp.noibu.com/mcp

  • Authentication: OAuth

  • Client registration: CIMD

If ChatGPT presents connection, tool-permission, or risk-review prompts, review them according to your organization’s policies. Do not enter credentials or tokens into the ZIP or chat.

4. Make Noibu available to your team

Confirm that the plugin is Enabled, then review its availability settings:

  • Available: Eligible team members can find and install the plugin themselves.

  • Installed: Installs the plugin for eligible users or roles, where supported.

For a self-service rollout, choose Available and share the team installation steps below. These installation settings are separate from the plugin’s sharing audience. OpenAI installation-setting guidance

Also confirm that intended users can use plugins and access the included Noibu connection. Where role-based controls are available, review the relevant roles and groups.

Installing or enabling a plugin does not grant additional Noibu data access or automatically connect everyone to an administrator’s account. Connected-service permissions and action approvals remain separate. OpenAI plugin controls

Part 2: Team member installation

1. Find and install Noibu

  1. Open ChatGPT and switch to your organization’s workspace.

  2. Open Plugins.

  3. Select the tab bearing your workspace’s name.

  4. Find Noibu and open its details.

  5. Select Install plugin or the + installation button.

If your administrator has already installed Noibu for you, you may not need this installation step.

2. Connect your Noibu account

  1. Select Connect when prompted.

  2. Complete sign-in on the Noibu authorization screen.

  3. Review and approve the requested access.

  4. Return to ChatGPT.

The connection prompt may appear during installation or when you first use Noibu. OpenAI plugin installation guidance

Use your own authorized Noibu account. You do not need to share passwords, API keys, or access tokens with your administrator or paste them into chat.

3. Verify your store

Start a new conversation, type @Noibu, and select the Noibu plugin. Send:

Use Noibu Setup to verify my connection and help me select an authorized store. Do not change data or create anything.

Choose the store you want to analyze if prompted. Successful setup should confirm your connection and store access.

4. Run your first report

Try one of these prompts, replacing yourstore.com with your store’s domain:

  • “Show a Store Pulse for yourstore.com for the last 24 hours.”

  • “Analyze checkout performance for yourstore.com over the last 30 days.”

  • “Identify product add-to-cart opportunities for yourstore.com.”

  • “Compare mobile, desktop, and traffic-channel conversion for yourstore.com.”

Select the plugin explicitly with @Noibu when you want ChatGPT to use its workflows. OpenAI guidance on using plugins

Recommended capabilities

Some workflows require additional setup:

  • Repository investigation and draft PRs: GitHub access and selection of the relevant repository.

  • Accessibility scanning: An approved execution-capable browser connection; Chrome/CDP setup may be required.

  • Live Sites and recurring reports: Publishing or scheduling capabilities, plus the necessary data and destination connections.

Follow the prompts for the specific workflow. Installing Noibu does not automatically authorize repository changes, external messages, publishing, or scheduled delivery.

Troubleshooting

Noibu does not appear

Confirm you are in the correct workspace and browsing its plugin tab. Ask your administrator to check plugin availability and your access.

Noibu is installed, but asks me to connect

Installation and authentication are separate. Complete the Noibu Connect flow.

My store is missing

Confirm you signed in to the intended Noibu account and that it has access to that store. Contact your Noibu administrator if access needs updating.

The skills do not appear

Ensure you are using ChatGPT 'Work' Start a new conversation after installation and select @Noibu. Ask your workspace administrator to confirm that the uploaded plugin includes all 10 skills.

The administrator’s upload fails

Record the exact error, package version, and time of failure. Share these with your administrator or Noibu support. Do not share cookies, passwords, authorization headers, or tokens.
