Solution: Creating a Noibu Webhook
Last updated: June 4, 2026
When to use this guide
Noibu's Jira Integration is the easiest way to connect Noibu issues to Jira tickets, but it requires a Jira Admin account with permission to create webhooks.
If your company restricts those permissions (for example, if your Jira is managed by a parent company), the standard integration won't work. In that case, you can set up a Noibu webhook as an alternative.
Here's how it works:
Email support@noibu.com or contact your CSM to request a manual webhook setup.
We'll send you a unique webhook URL.
You use that URL to create a webhook in your Jira instance.
Note: You'll still need a Jira Admin account to create the webhook in Jira.
Steps to create the webhook in Jira
Step 1: Open Webhooks in Jira
Log into Jira as an Admin and click the gear icon to open Settings. Select System under the Jira Settings heading, then open WebHooks from the sidebar under Advanced.
Step 2: Create a new webhook
Click Create a WebHook and fill in the following details:
Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
Name | Something recognizable, e.g. Noibu Webhook |
Status | Enabled |
URL | The webhook URL sent to you by your Noibu CSM |
Description | Optional, e.g. "Sends Noibu updates from Jira" |
Step 3: Configure issue events
Under Jira Software Related Events, leave all boxes unchecked.
Under Issue Related Events, check all three boxes under Issue: created, updated, and deleted.
Step 4: Save
Scroll past all other sections and click Create.
Once the webhook is created, Noibu will start receiving updates from your Jira instance whenever an issue is created, updated, or deleted.
